Michael Wildfire and Max Monahan certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Wildfire threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns, while Monahan gained 109 total yards and a touchdown.
Amesbury's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.7 points per game. As for Cohasset, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
Amesbury will take on Newburyport at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Newburyport is ranked 57th, while Amesbury is ranked 54th). As for Cohasset, they will head out on the road to face off against Hull at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
