Basketball Recap: Delray White Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Rudolf Steiner

While Marshall Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Rudolf Steiner Storm by a score of 66-53 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Griffons also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Marshall Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Delray White out in front who went 11 of 17 en route to 24 points and six steals. That's the most points White has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jordan Patterson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Marshall Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Marshall Academy pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Rudolf Steiner, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
