The Alta Loma Braves''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Ayala 43-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Alta Loma in their matchups with Ayala: they've now lost four in a row.
Eamon Graves threw for 139 yards and a touchdown while completing 78.9% of his passes. Luke Stansell was his top target, picking up 36 receiving yards.
Ayala's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maximus Barroso, who rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 45 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Elijah Duarte , who threw for 68 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Another reason for the win was Ayala's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Alta Loma's QB won't forget Nathan Bull anytime soon given Bull sacked him four times.
Alta Loma's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Ayala, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Alta Loma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ayala will look to defend their home field on Friday against Culver City at 7:00 p.m.
