There's no place like home for the Mundy's Mill Tigers, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 40-25 victory over North Clayton on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Mundy's Mill also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mundy's Mill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amera Steadmon, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshlynn Mcclarin, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Mundy's Mill's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Clayton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mundy's Mill will take on Woodward Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodward Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Mundy's Mill likes a good challenge. As for North Clayton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Riverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
