The Richlands Wildcats won the last time they faced the Dixon Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Richlands strolled past Dixon with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Richlands.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Richlands to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mia Wells, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists. That's the first time this season that Wells posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Fisher, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Richlands pushed their record up to 9-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Dixon, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Richlands will be playing in front of their home fans against West Carteret at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. West Carteret has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. As for Dixon, they will head out on the road to face off against Swansboro at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Swansboro has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
