Leadore is 0-10 against Rockland since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Leadore Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Rockland Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Leadore sitting on three straight wins and Rockland on seven.
Last Friday, Leadore beat Grace Lutheran 54-45.
Leadore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Ayers, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and six blocks. Ayers hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Mason Herbst, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Rockland scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sho-Ban 93-34 on the road. Rockland has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 25 points or more this season.
Leadore's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Rockland, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-4.
Leadore might still be hurting after the 64-39 loss they got from Rockland when the teams last played back in January. Can Leadore avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
