The Plymouth Christian Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy Sentinels at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plymouth Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
On Saturday, Plymouth Christian Academy came up short against Howell and fell 9-6. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Plymouth Christian Academy got a big performance out of Dylan Beasley, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Cooper Weaver, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Williamston by a score of 6-3.
Noah Piesko was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Piesko was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Piesko wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mickey Brown, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.7 runs this season. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Plymouth Christian Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .437. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Plymouth Christian Academy took their win against Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
