Sadly, New Life Christian are still looking for their first win of the season after seven games. They were dealt a 51-12 defeat at the hands of Shalom Christian Academy on Tuesday. New Life Christian has struggled against Shalom Christian Academy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Shalom Christian Academy to victory were Maya Lehman and Addison Adams. Lehman scored 17 points along with four steals, while Adams almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lehman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaicee Keller, who scored two points along with five rebounds and four steals.
New Life Christian dropped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.0 points per game. As for Shalom Christian Academy, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
New Life Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shalom Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cumberland Valley Christian at 6:45 p.m. on February 8th.
