Animo South Los Angeles has been on a difficult stretch since their win on November 21. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Middle College Cougars on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Animo South Los Angeles' loss dropped their record down to 1-4-3. As for Middle College, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Animo South Los Angeles will face off against New West Charter at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Middle College, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Middle College duke it out with the Horace Mann UCLA Community at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Middle College is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.3 goals per game this season.
