Baseball Game Preview: Crescent Tigers vs. Hinton Comets

Crescent is a perfect 4-0 against Hinton since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Comets at 4:45 p.m. The timing is sure in Crescent's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Hinton has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

While Crescent's victory against Pawnee wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Black Bears 2-1 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since March 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, Hinton started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Luther. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions on Monday.

Hinton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Randen House, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Hinton's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Crescent, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Crescent skirted past Hinton 9-8 when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Comets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
