Baseball Recap: Cisco Wins Going Away Against Winters

Cisco won the last time they faced Winters and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Loboes blew past the Blizzards 14-4.

Case Williams was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Williams was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Layton Busby, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Ty Rainey was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Cisco always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winters only posted an OBP of .333.

Cisco's record now sits at 9-6-2. As for Winters, they dropped their record down to 7-7-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Cisco will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blizzards: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
