The Beachside Barracudas will venture away from home to face off against the Interlachen Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beachside will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Beachside will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Ponte Vedra, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Barracudas came out on top against the Sharks by a score of 12-8 on Tuesday. Beachside's win was all the more impressive since the Sharks were averaging only 3.73 runs allowed on the season.
The team relied heavily on Kyleigh Kendall, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2025. Brenna Webb also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Beachside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .412. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Interlachen came up short against Peniel Baptist Academy on Thursday, falling 11-5.
Baileigh Riddley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mya Creel, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base.
Interlachen has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Beachside, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6.
Interlachen's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Beachside has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Interlachen, though, as they've been averaging 9.8 hits. Given Beachside's sizable advantage in that area, the Rams will need to find a way to close that gap.
Beachside beat Interlachen 13-9 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Barracudas since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
