The Fayette County Tigers won the last time they faced the Riverdale Raiders, and things went their way on Saturday too. Fayette County took down Riverdale 60-43. That 60-43 margin sets a new team best for Fayette County this season.
Christian McAllister continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Keith Gillespie was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Fayette County and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Riverdale, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayette County will take on LaGrange at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LaGrange is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Riverdale and Starr's Mill will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Starr's Mill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Riverdale likes a good challenge.
