Crockett was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Richards School for Young Women Leaders on Friday. The Crockett Cougars were the clear victor by a 50-24 margin over Richards School for Young Women Leaders. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crockett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Smith, who posted 21 points. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sadie Peyton, who earned 11 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals.

Crockett smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Crockett's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 17-13. As for Richards School for Young Women Leaders, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Crockett and Richards School for Young Women Leaders could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Crockett (ranked 856th) will meet Bastrop (ranked 256th) at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crockett is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Meanwhile, Richards School for Young Women Leaders will square off against Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 803 places (1288 vs. 485).
