Despite the defeat, Georgetown Day saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Caleb Clark went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Clark has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Santos-Silva, who posted 13 points and five boards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McKinley Tech to victory, but perhaps none more so than DaMontae Neclos, who put up 21 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. The matchup was Neclos' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Marcus Dunbar was another key player, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 boards.
Georgetown Day's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for McKinley Tech, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Georgetown Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 79-54 defeat against Flint Hill on the 14th. McKinley Tech has also already played their next contest, a 61-53 loss against Eastern on the 13th.
