Hillsboro were fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Hillwood 61-14. Followers of Hillsboro probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Hillsboro started the match off right with 40 first-half points. Hillwood wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 14 to make it 40-14 heading into the break. Hillsboro put the match away in the third quarter with 15 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The matchup pushed Hillwood down to 3-6 and pulled Hillsboro up to the reverse at 6-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Hillsboro will be playing at home against Hunters Lane at at 7:00 PM in two weeks. Hillsboro are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Hunters Lane are stumbling in off of nine consecutive losses. Hillwood will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against Beech at 7:00 PM.
