Hellgate extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Ellison Hogan. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Sentinel Spartans 3-2 on Wednesday thanks in part to Hogan, who had 25 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 19 or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Hellgate took Sentinel into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-18, 25-23, 21-25, 15-12.
Hellgate was led to victory by Margaret Bodnar and Maia Yatsko. Bodnar had 12 digs, while Yatsko had nine digs and one assist. Bodnar also put up an ace, which was her first of the season.
Hellgate's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Sentinel, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7.
