Basketball Recap: Indianapolis Shortridge Makes It Three in a Row at Home

Lebanon came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Indianapolis Shortridge, but KaMariona Garrett wouldn't allow it. The Indianapolis Shortridge Blue Devils had just enough and edged the Lebanon Tigers out 47-44 thanks in part to Garrett, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and seven steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (five).

Lebanon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Claire Boling, who went 7 for 16 on her way to 17 points. Aubrey Goodlett was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Indianapolis Shortridge's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Indianapolis Shortridge will venture away from home to face off against Indianapolis Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lebanon, they will host Danville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Danville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season.
