The Northeast Eagles lost against the Clarksville Wildcats last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Northeast was dealt a 79-20 loss at the hands of Clarksville. Northeast was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-9.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Eliza Brimley and
Krista Brandon, who each put up five points.
Qimara Summers held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
Northeast has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Clarksville, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 22-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast will challenge Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Northwest is coming into the contest with four straight wins at home, meaning Northeast will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Clarksville, they will head out on the road to square off against Henry County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Clarksville is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Henry County in Tennessee (Clarksville is ranked 27th, while Henry County is ranked 151st).
