Four Rivers recap October 8, 2013
Owensville and Pacific played the most contested game in Four Rivers this week, with Owensville eventually emerging with a 17-14 victory. Tristan Crofford ran for 127 yards during the win.
Union took down DeSoto 46-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Blake Hulsey threw for 379 yards and 5 touchdowns and ran for 37 yards in the win.
He went 31-37 with 0 interceptions.
Derric Parnell was a key player and the best on defense this week as the Wildcats defeated the Dragons. He racked up 1 sack.
Logan Bellamy was the best receiver in the league this week as Union beat DeSoto. Bellamy tallied 9 receptions for 97 yards. Jake Siddens helped Union's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 51 yards.
Union's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wildcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hulsey has thrown for 2,113 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Bellamy has 43 catches for 644 yards. Hulsey also leads the league in rushing with 481 yards.
An important game coming up in Four Rivers this week will be when Sullivan takes on St. James. As it stands, the Eagles are in second, while the Tigers are in third.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Dutchmen and Erick Webster's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Owensville comes in having scored 76 this season, while the Wildcats have scored 231. Dale Long's team scored 17 points last week as it bested the Indians.
