 Sasha Page was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out 14 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and three unearned) runs off   six  hits. Those  14  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Addison Neelis was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double.  Kelsie Stowell was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with one  triple and one  run.
As for Ovid-Elsie, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11-1 record  this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.
