Valley Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They came up short against  the Centralia Panthers, falling  13-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  13-3  on Thursday.
  Cayden Dummermuth made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Brady DeWalt, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
Valley Heights' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. Centralia has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
 Coming up, Valley Heights will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Blue Valley  at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Centralia, they will head out to  square off against Doniphan West  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
