Cross barely beat Thomas Heyward Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Stingrays put the hurt on the Rebels with a sharp 14-3 win on Thursday. Considering the Stingrays have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Savannah Hollings was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hollings was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Alaysia Hollings was incredible, going 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Sydney Hollings was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four RBI and one stolen base.
Cross' record now sits at 11-7. As for Thomas Heyward Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
