Real Life Christian Academy is 1-7 against Hernando Christian Academy since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Raptors will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Lions at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Real Life Christian Academy has nine straight victories, Hernando Christian Academy has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Real Life Christian Academy and Legacy Charter meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Raptors were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Raptors, who have now won ten matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hernando Christian Academy scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, falling 30-17. Even if the Lions couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Piper Gill stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she scored two runs and stole six bases while going 4-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Lalane, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5.
Real Life Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.3 runs over those games. As for Hernando Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.
Hernando Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Real Life Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Hernando Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 2 strikeouts. Will Real Life Christian Academy keep running through batters, or will the Lions buck the trend?
Everything went Real Life Christian Academy's way against Hernando Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March, as Real Life Christian Academy made off with a 31-5 victory. Will the Raptors repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
