The Granby Comets will take on the Camden County Bruins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Granby's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Norview as they made off with a 15-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.
AJ Lomogda made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Lomogda was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two doubles and one RBI.

In other batting news, Mackenzie Pastorious was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caelah Garcia, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Granby always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .694. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norview only posted an OBP of .286.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Camden County). They put the hurt on Manteo with a sharp 21-0 victory on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bruins with their most commanding win of the season.
Ellie Barker and Kaitlynn Barnes did most of the damage at the plate: Barker went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs, while Barnes went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. That home run marked the first that Barker has launched this season. Emma Young was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Camden County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Granby, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
