The Bergen Tech Knights will face off against the Teaneck Highwaymen at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Teaneck took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bergen Tech, who comes in off a win.
Bergen Tech came out on top against Eastside on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Knights were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Ghosts. Considering the Knights have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Joe D'Amico spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dylan Huber was excellent, going 1-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. James Cicoria was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Bergen Tech hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastside struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, Teaneck was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pascack Valley.
Deyton Walcott made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bergen Tech pushed their record up to 10-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Teaneck, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bergen Tech has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Teaneck struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Bergen Tech suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Teaneck in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Will the Knights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
