Meanwhile, Harvey got themselves on the board against Storm King on Wednesday, but Storm King never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 11-0 win. Considering the Cavaliers have won three games by more than ten runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Dominick Bonserio was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Harvey is 3-1 when Bonserio posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, Ben Shaw and Jonathan Cappucci did most of the damage at the plate: Shaw went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Cappucci went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Cappucci has become a key player for Harvey: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Hauser, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Harvey always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
King's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Harvey, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
