New Designs Watts had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They suffered a grim 6-36 defeat to Verbum Dei last Saturday. New Designs Watts's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Brian Wise, who rushed for 88 yards and 1 touchdown.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: Excelsior Charter lost to Palo Verde Valley, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-37.
The losses dropped New Designs Watts to 0-1 and Excelsior Charter 0-3. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
