The Roosevelt Roughriders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Ballard Beavers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Roosevelt's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Even though Skyline scored an imposing 65 points on Saturday, Roosevelt still came out on top. Roosevelt took their matchup against Skyline 77-65. Given Roosevelt's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Skyline is ranked 62nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anthony Washington, who scored 21 points. The contest was Washington's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Young, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, even though Chief Sealth scored an imposing 67 points on Friday, Ballard still came out on top. Ballard walked away with a 76-67 victory over Chief Sealth.
Roosevelt pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Ballard, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Roosevelt might still be hurting after the 49-23 loss they got from Ballard in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Will Roosevelt have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
