The Horseshoe Bend Generals were the 47-45 winner over the Reeltown Rebels when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Horseshoe Bend ended up on the wrong side of a rough 58-38 walloping at the hands of Reeltown on Friday.
Reeltown got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Finn Henderson out in front who scored 26 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tae Martin, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and seven steals.
Horseshoe Bend's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Reeltown, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horseshoe Bend will take on Beulah at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reeltown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against LaFayette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully LaFayette focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
