Troy Timko Turns in Season-Best Effort
Troy Timko produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hilton Head Island to the win on Friday. Timko rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 83-yard run.
Unfortunately for Colleton County, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Timko. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Timko saw the Cougars), he rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 30 receiving yards.

Gage Duncan Delivers Best Performance of Season
Gage Duncan produced his most outstanding game to date while leading May River to the win on Friday. Duncan rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
May River pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Duncan and May River will take on Bluffton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Andrew Johnson Goes Supernova in May River Win
Keeping Duncan company is Andrew Johnson, a fellow May River player. He rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also caught a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.
This season, Johnson has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 107.9 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 3.5 rushing yards per game.

Bluffton moved to 5-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Holley and Bluffton will face off against May River at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
