The Bridges Prep Buccaneers are taking a road trip to challenge the Barnwell Warhorses at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bridges Prep will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Bridges Prep had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Whale Branch on Friday. Everything went Bridges Prep's way against Whale Branch as Bridges Prep made off with an 11-0 victory.

Dakari Greene and James Williams made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Greene tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Williams struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Greene scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Williams scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Greene a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bryce Young, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Connor Jones, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Bridges Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Whale Branch only posted a batting average of .053.
Meanwhile, Barnwell came up short against Saluda on Wednesday and fell 4-1.
Like Bridges Prep, Barnwell also got a great game from a two-way player: Cameron Austin. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Austin was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 11 games he's played dating back to last season.
Bridges Prep's record is now 3-0. As for Barnwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Barnwell's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bridges Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .348.
