Foothill is a perfect 10-0 against Enterprise since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The two teams, after both having extra time off, will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. Enterprise took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Foothill, who comes in off a win.
Foothill had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Red Bluff last Thursday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Spartans. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Lucy Harding made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, TatiAnna Seuasoukseng was incredible, firing off two home runs, two stolen bases, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Sophia Axtell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
Foothill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Enterprise was not able to break out of their rough patch last Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Corning, falling 13-7.
Sadie Ross and Bella Romero stepped up to the plate in a big way. Ross went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Romero went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was Romero's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Rachel Hess, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Foothill's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Enterprise, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Everything went Foothill's way against Enterprise in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Foothill made off with a 9-3 win. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
