St. Mary has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Vanguard School Coursers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Saturday, St. Mary's beat Ellicott 58-51.
St. Mary's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Padrnos, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Padrnos has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dantee Manuel, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, The Vanguard School stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fountain Valley 80-49 on the road. The win was nothing new for The Vanguard School as they're now sitting on six straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Vanguard School to victory, but perhaps none more so than JJ Wetters, who scored 21 points along with eight assists and four steals. Wetters is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Cameron Rowney was another key contributor, scoring 23 points along with three steals.
St. Mary's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for The Vanguard School, they pushed their record up to 15-1 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
