La Salle's Joe Krause recorded the longest rushing play in Ski-Valley - North this season in his game against Forest Area last week. Krause's team defeated the Warriors as he sprinted for 53 yards on the play and finished with 112 in all.
La Salle extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Forest Area, 70-6. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Saints.
La Salle's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Snyder threw for 109 and three touchdowns and Parker Simmons had 49 yards receiving. Joey Ostman helped La Salle's passing attack out by catching two balls for 38 yards.
The Saints' Snyder and Ostman have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Snyder has thrown for 596 yards this season, while Ostman, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 18 catches for 317 yards. Pickford's Jarred Lavigne leads the league in rushing yards with 536.
The top two teams in Ski-Valley - North will face off this week when first place La Salle takes on second place Pickford. La Salle bested the Warriors last week, while the Panthers lost to Mancelona.
