Shaker Heights pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Euclid 64-58.
Meanwhile, Rhodes stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past John F. Kennedy 63-40. Given Rhodes' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while John F. Kennedy is ranked 592nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Shaker Heights has not been sharp recently as the team has lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Rhodes, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
