The Farmersville Farmers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kaufman Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Farmersville strolled past the Foxes with points to spare, taking the game 58-40. 58 seems to be a good number for Farmersville as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Kaufman really took it to the Foxes for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-23 victory at home. With Kaufman ahead 38-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Kaufman found their leader in underclassman Alizay Gonzalez, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gonzalez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrah Prox, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
The win makes it two in a row for Farmersville and bumps their season record up to 14-16. As for Kaufman, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 21-12 record this season.
Farmersville lost to the Lions at home by a decisive 45-26 margin when the teams last played back in January. Will Farmersville have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
