The Southeast Cyclones took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. They strolled past Guernsey-Sunrise with points to spare, taking the game 44-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Southeast also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Southeast was led to victory by Ayden Desmond and TJ Moats. Desmond scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds, while Moats dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Southeast's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Guernsey-Sunrise, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Southeast will head out on the road to face off against Tongue River at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Tongue River is ranked 16th, while Southeast is ranked 21st). As for Guernsey-Sunrise, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Minatare at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Minatare and Guernsey-Sunrise are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
