Cox Mill (Concord, N.C.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Hunter Longmire thew a touchdown to
Devin Cobb with 2:00 left, bringing the team to victory over
South Rowan (China Grove, N.C.) 45-36.
After trailing 31-21 at the half, the Raiders went ahead on a
Derrick Blackwell touchdown run with 11:00 left in the fourth.
Cox Mill saw its 10-point halftime lead fall to three entering the fourth.
The win was a nice bounce back for CM, which lost to Northwest Cabarrus last week, 41-35.
South Rowan (0-6) goes up against Carson in a 3A Conference 7 game matchup next week, while Cox Mill (3-4) locks horns with Concord also in a 3A Conference 7 game.
