It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Proctor Raiders ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 78-72 W over Central Valley Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Central Valley Academy still got an impressive performance from Deacon Judd, who dropped a double-double on 41 points and 17 rebounds. Judd scored a full 56.9% of Central Valley Academy's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Connor Dempsey, who scored six points.
Proctor's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Central Valley Academy, their loss ended a 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1.
Proctor will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cicero-North Syracuse on December 29th. Central Valley Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
