Berthoud is 0-3 against Sterling since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Berthoud Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sterling Tigers at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Berthoud's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games.
Berthoud pushed their score all the way to 59 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 81-59 loss at the hands of Resurrection Christian. Berthoud has not had much luck with Resurrection Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Defeat or not, Berthoud got some senior leadership from Darin Davidson and Reece Stratmeyer. Davidson scored 19 points, while Stratmeyer. scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davidson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Isaac Erickson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Sterling didn't have too much breathing room in their match against University on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory.
Berthoud's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Sterling, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
