Laverne were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They took the contest and then some with a 66-16 win on Friday over Canton. That result was just more of the same for Laverne, who also won the last time these teams played.
The victory bumped Laverne's record up to 5-1. The loss dropped Canton's record to 2-6.
Next week Laverne take on Turpin at 7:00 PM. Turpin took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse Laverne's good fortune. As for Canton, they will face off against Seiling. Seiling have averaged 50 points over the course of their past six games, so Canton might be in for a challenge.
