Hancock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 70-52 to the L'Anse Purple Hornets. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead L'Anse to victory, but perhaps none more so than Talan Larson, who went 7-for-8 en route to 19 points in addition to six assists and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Larson a new career-high in field goal percentage (88%). Sam Lee was another key player, going 9-for-20 on his way to 21 points and five steals.
Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for L'Anse, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-13.
