Meeker's Dallas Jackson recorded the longest rushing play in 2A District 5 this season in his game against Okemah last week. Jackson ran for 85 yards on the play and finished with 97 on the day as his team beat the Panthers.
Meeker added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Okemah, 42-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the Mike Hedge's team.
Alex Wheeland was a beast in the backfield as Haskell defeated Holdenville.
Jake Standlee threw for 144 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Wheeland was a passing and rushing force as the Haymakers topped the Wolverines.
Wheeland was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 294 yards on 23 carries as Haskell bested Joe Turner's team. Teammate Tre Lang added to the ground attack by rushing for 24 yards.
Meeker's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Standlee has thrown for 377 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Jackson has 7 catches for 172 yards. Standlee also leads the league in rushing with 463 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Meeker takes on second place Stroud.
