Warrensburg's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 22 points in the first half. Hoosic Valley came up with 14 to make it 22-14 heading into the break. The other side of the ball was dominant for Warrensburg in the second half, holding Hoosic Valley to a measly 0 points.
No one put up better numbers for Warrensburg than senior Evan MacDuff, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with 10 tackles MacDuff was a force on both sides of the ball. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Brandon Bailey, who racked up 9 tackles. The win got Warrensburg back to even at 1-1. The defeat dropped Hoosic Valley's record to 0-2.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Warrensburg will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Fort Edward at 1:00 PM. Hoosic Valley will stay at home against Whitehall.
