The Epiphany Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty Christian Academy Heat at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Epiphany has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Last Monday, Epiphany got the win against Pamlico Christian Academy by a conclusive 43-23.
Alanna Moye was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Epiphany's points. Kameron Bazille was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Liberty Christian Academy, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They fell to Coastal Christian 33-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Liberty Christian Academy in their matchups with Coastal Christian: they've now lost seven in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Sarah Minner, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Epiphany's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
Epiphany was able to grind out a solid victory over Liberty Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January, winning 40-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Epiphany since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
