The Forbush Falcons will face off against the Pine Lake Prep Pride at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are still undefeated (Forbush has four wins , while Pine Lake Prep has three).
Forbush is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Starmount on Tuesday as Forbush made off with a 19-9 win. Fans of the Falcons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Aaron Hutchens was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bo Moxley, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in doubles. Colton Moxley was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-3.
Forbush was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Pine Lake Prep got the win against Christ the King on Tuesday by a conclusive 7-1.
Like Forbush, Pine Lake Prep also got a great game from a two-way player: Alec Brown. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Brown was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Jeter Bynum tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.
Back at the plate, Dylan Brandt was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Grant Ingram, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Forbush's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pine Lake Prep, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Forbush's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. Forbush has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Pine Lake Prep, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Forbush continue to outrun the ball?
Forbush came out on top in a nail-biter against Pine Lake Prep in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Does Forbush have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pine Lake Prep turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
