Hillcrest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kailey Lara out in front who had seven aces and two assists. Lara has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Resse Kim was another key player, getting nine digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good server: Hillcrest was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Adamson only served one ace.
The win got Hillcrest back to even at 10-10. As for Adamson, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.
