It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the St. Stephen's & St. Agnes Saints ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They walked away with a 61-54 victory over Severn School.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Neal, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyan Bowman, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Severn School, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 5-4.
St. Stephen's & St. Agnes is on the road again on Friday and play against Holy Cross at 6:45 p.m. on December 29th. Severn School will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Norfolk Collegiate at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Norfolk Collegiate's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
