A District 9 recap October 8, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Moore County, who took down 254th ranked Middle Tennessee Christian, 28-19.
The Raiders scaled the state rankings by moving to 245 from 273 this week, the biggest jump in A District 9. Moore County was able to move up by beating the Cougars 28-19.
Huntland's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Evan Ray has thrown for 718 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Tyler Strope has 17 catches for 330 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Huntland takes on the Raiders. As it stands, the Hornets are in sixth, while Moore County is in third.
Huntland fell to Forrest 42-3 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ray threw for 80 yards and ran for 38 yards in the loss.
